Welcome to Northrepps Cottage!
The property is nestled within the heart of ancient woodland and within walking distance of Overstrand beach, also two miles away from Cromer, where you’ll find many high street shops, a rail line, a petrol station, supermarkets, and many other local amenities.
We pride ourselves on being dog friendly, and offer stylish rooms for up to fourteen guests across seven luxury suites. Features of the property include; a bar area, a gym and games room, a hot tub, a professional kitchen, and more. Our Story
The cottage dates from the 18th century and was once owned by the notable Anna Gurney, whose family founded Barclays bank. You can see a memorial to Anna Gurney in Overstrand church, where the testimony to Anna’s admirable spirit becomes clear. Anna made it her life’s work to nurse shipwrecked sailors at the cottage and was locally renowned for her philanthropy and determination within the constraints of her society.
In recent years, the building served as a country club and as a hotel before becoming a private family-run holiday cottage.
